27 April 2015My first spring migrants of year by Keith G Masseyover the weekend I recorded my first migrants of spring male Willow Warbler, Swallow, male Garden Warbler,six male Whitethroat, four male Blackcap, heard singing in bushes along MS Canal and on Mersey banks seven Ringed Plover, six Dunlin in breeding plumage and two Sand Martin coming from their breeding lagoon at Fiddlers Ferry to Mersey. Also two male Orange tip and three Peacock butterflies. And all that was with very strong N to NW very cold wind.click here for full report
09 April 2015Pm on 9/4/2015 by IanNuthatch seen sitting on hole & exiting bird box. Box sited west of pump house hide & South of path running parallel to rail line. Willow warbler heard near raptor hill.click here for full report
07 April 2015very large geese but didnt look like canada by shona anne richardsonthey were in a field near moore nature reserve as i was driving by but were too far away to distinguish looked like very large geese bigger than canadaclick here for full report
