Approval was granted by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council planning committee on the 17th of March 2011. Currently we are working with the local community to set up a community benefit scheme to enable those living locally to the development to benefit.
The hope is to start construction in 2012.
A planning application for two wind turbines has been formally submitted to East Riding of Yorkshire Council as of the 25th November 2010. The submission of the planning application to East Riding of Yorkshire Council follows a detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the sites suitability for a wind energy project. The EIA examined the potential effects during construction, operation and decommissioning of the turbines. Among the issues considered were: visual impact, access and transport infrastructure, noise, available wind resource and potential effects on local flora and fauna, including birds and bats.
The submission of the planning application follows feedback from a public exhibition held by FCC Environment on the 7th September 2010. Here local residents and other interested parties were provided with the opportunity to find out detailed information about the proposal and provide their own feedback.
